This is a piece of woven linen fabric that survived centuries in the clay earth of the Novgorod area.
Weaving and spinning tools.
A crocheted pouch.
Drop spindles.
Baltic amber.
Beads from the 10-12th centuries, glazed bowl from the 14th century.
This is a photo from an archeological dig showing the layers of wooden roads. As one layer sunk into the ground, another was laid on top.
A model of part of Novgorod. The roads were one log length wide.
Part of a linen flag from the 13th century. It's amazing to me that fabrics survived that long.
Icons.
